Try This Great Trick for Painting Green Landscapes - Pastel Painting Tutorial

Let's face it.... a mostly green landscape can be a bit boring unless we can learn ways to bring those greens to life! In this pastel painting tutorial, I will teach you and great trick to tackle a landscape that is mostly green. In this lesson you will learn how a simple underpainting can make a huge difference when painting a green landscape. I paint the same reference image on two surfaces; one with a cool underpainting, and one with a warm underpainting. Both are successful, but it really makes the point clear that warm underpaintings are a great idea for green landscapes, even though the cooler underpainting provided a lovely result. I think it would have really made an impact if I had painted one on just the white surface alone... (perhaps I'll do that in a future video).
