北 정보기관 수장 김원홍 보위상, 전격 해임 The head of North Korea's spy agency, Kim Won-hong, has been sacked from his position by the regime's leader Kim Jong-un. South Korea's Unification Ministry confirmed that Kim Won-hong was dismissed last month on charges of abuse of power and corruption after an audit on the agency late last year. He was considered a key figure in Kim Jong-un's regime. He was made head of the spy agency shortly after Kim Jong-un came to power in 2012, and is suspected to have orchestrated the execution of Jang Song-thaek, Kim's uncle and mentor. This is the latest in a long line of purges and executions during Kim Jong-un's reign, and the unification ministry has said it looks set to continue.
