Okay, I don’t even know where to start. Let me start with something possive: my side of the crowd was hyped as shit, they were shouting and cheering and trying to interact with the girls. The vibes were better than they were in Brussels and it felt like Idle had a lot more fun bc of the energy in the crowd too. Now the bad things: The organization was, as usual, so bad. Security and venue staff were shouting at us, acting like this was the fucking Navy. They blamed us when shit went wrong bc their instructions weren’t clear (there were a LOT of people from outside of Germany, so OF COURSE they don’t understand German, what the hell???). They made us wait in the rain for actual hours bc suddenly we couldn’t come back at 4pm like the original email from KJ said (funnily enough, staff and esp MBA/Verti NEVER know what the original concert organizers said in their emails – are y’all not in contact with each other???). No, we had to be back at 1.30pm for some reason. Staff also doesn’t seem to understand that a point and shoot is not a professional camera but hey, at least y'all get to shout at people, right? (no, but seriously, the dude in front of me had an iPhone and his 6x zoom was clear as day, how is THAT allowed but not a point and shoot???) Hitouch was also an absolute mess. They made us stand in line, then turned us around bc they decided they had to drag us all the way outside to take us back into the venue when really, we could’ve just used the USUAL EXIT LIKE WE DID WITH DAY6 IN 2020 AND DREAMCATCHER IN 2022! Hitouch itself was also – in my opinion and y’all can hate me for it – not worth it. We didn’t even get to SAY anything, the high-five itself was a three finger touch and a „Thank you“ (Idle looked gorgeous but that was to be expected) and then we were shouted at ONCE AGAIN to leave the venue as quickly as possible. Which was fun bc I can’t walk well esp when I had to stand for HOURS and I was just looking to use the elevator which was made more difficult than it should’ve been bc the hitouch line was waiting right in front of the elevator. Call it an unpopular opinion but I want hiwave back. We were able to film, we had just a LITTLE BIT more time with the idols we paid hundreds of euros for and they did not have to touch us. It was more sanitary for idols as well to sit behind a glass wall and wave or make finger hearts at us. MBA/Verti Music Hall is a damn mess, they also have been and it’s gotten SO MUCH worse in the past six months. I will avoid those venues as much as humanly possible bc it is NOT worth the anxiety attacks I had afterwards. I’ll be seeing aespa next week and that it is. I decided I will not be going to concerts as a „private person“ anymore unless it’s someone I’ve never seen before like Woodz or Seventeen. I’ll be working closely with K-Pop communities that have access to press passes and make the most of that but my career as a concert goer is over. People in the crowd as well as staff have gotten so much more aggressive over the past 3 years and it’s just not fun anymore. I’d rather keep my mental and physical health than waste hundreds of euros on an experience I can’t enjoy anymore. #gidleinberlin #gidle #berlin
