1999 - Arrows F1 boss Prince Malik Ado Ibrahim comment on the price he pay the team
Is paying 77 million GBP for an F1 team a fair price? According to newly Arrows boss, nigerian Prince Malik Ado Ibrahim, the answer was yes. Only problem, was that he didn't have that money and by fall, the prince had disappeared completely from the F1 paddock, leaving Arrows in complete financial disarray. When he failed to complete the purchase of his shares by September, Tom Walkinshaw effectively retook control of the team. This was broadcasted during ITV 'Murray and Martin's F1 Special' on July 09, 1999.
