4-year-old boy accidentally shot, killed by 10-year-old brother in Lafayette; investigation ongoing

Lafayette police said a 4-year-old boy is dead after accidentally getting shot by his 10-year-old brother. Authorities said officers responded to the 100 block of Bryan Street on a report about an injured child on Thursday, July 18, around 10:30 a.m. They added the child was taken to a local hospital by ambulance and was later pronounced dead.
