HUMAN MALE REPRODUCTIVE SYSTEM The male reproductive system is located in the pelvis region. It includes a pair of testis along with accessory ducts, glands and the external genetalia. The testes are situated out side the abdominal cavity within a pouch called scrotum. The scrotum helps in maintaining the low temperature of the testes neccessary for spermatogenesis. In adults, each testes is oval in shape, with a length of about 4 to 5 cm and a width of about 2 to 3 cm. The male sex accessory ducts include rete testis, vasa efferentia, epididymis and vas deferens. The seminiferous tubules of the testis open into the vasa efferentia through rete testis. The vasa efferentia leave the testis and open into epididymis located along the posterior surface of each testis. The epididymis leads to vas deference that ascends to the abdomen and loops over the urinary bladder. It receives a duct from seminal vesicle and opens into urethra as the ejaculatory duct. These ducts store and transport the sperms from the testis to the outside through urethra. The urethra originates from the urinary bladder and extends through the penis to its external opening called urethral meatus or urethral orifice. The penis is the male external genetalia. It is made up of special tissue that helps in erection of the penis to facilitate insemination. The enlarged end of penis called the glance penis is covered by a loose fold of skin called foreskin or prepuce. The male accessory glands include seminal vesicles, a prostate and paired bulbourethral glands. Section of these glands constitute the seminal plasma which is rich in fructose, calcium and certain enzymes. The secretions of bulbourethral glands also helps in the lubrication of the penis. #NEETBiology #MaleReproductiveSystem #UniversalBiology UniversalBiology Universal Biology Some Links of our videos:- 1 Diagram of Human digestive system • How to Draw Human Digestive System step by... 2 Introduction of Biology Lecture-1 • Video 3 Introduction of Biology Lecture-2 • Video 4 Sexual Reproduction in Flowering Plants Lecture-1 Class 12 • Sexual Reproduction in Flowering Plants Le... 5 Sexual Reproduction in Flowering Plants Lecture-2 Class 12 • Sexual Reproduction in Flowering Plants L-... 6 Sexual Reproduction in Flowering Plants Lecture-3 Class 12 • Sexual Reproduction in Flowering Plants L-... 7 Sexual Reproduction in Flowering Plants Lecture-4 Class 12 • Sexual Reproduction in Flowering Plants Le... 8 Reproduction in Organisms Lecture-1 Class 12 • Video 9 Reproduction in Organisms Lecture-2 Class 12 • Video UNIVERSAL BIOLOGY FOR NEET/AIIMS BY ANANAD KUMAR Join Telegram group https://t.me/UniversalBiology Join me on Instagram / anand_kumar_bio Facebook https://www.facebook.com/profile.php?...
