Professor Kim it's good to have you with us. 1) Professor Buchak, let's begin with the events leading up to the failures of Silicon Valley Bank as well as Signature Bank and the current state of affairs. 2) Professor Kim, concerns over the banking sector are also evident in Europe amid the crisis surrounding Credit Suisse, which Swiss banking giant UBS has agreed to buy for over 3 billion U.S. dollars. What's the latest on that front? 3) Professor Buchak, given these failures of banks in the U.S. and in Switzerland, there are fears about a potential broader financial meltdown. Do you share these fears? 4) Professor Kim, Goldman Sachs has forecast that tech shares in South Korea and Taiwan look to be affected by the failure of Silicon Valley Bank. What are your thoughts? 5) Professor Buchak, the failure of Silicon Valley Bank, as well as that of Signature Bank, has sent shock waves across the financial industry and pressure is on the U.S. Federal Reserve to dial back on its interest rate hikes despite high inflation. What is your outlook with regard to the Fed's next move? 6) And Professor Kim, the Bank of Korea is set to share its rate decision on April 11th.
