Kingsmen Fishing 50.50 lb Kingfish 1st place Suncoast kingfish classic 2017

This was the first Kingfish tournament we ever fished together as two brothers. Within the first hour of lines in the water rumor had it a team caught a king in the high 40's. If that wasn't enough bad news two teams hooked up on fish right next to us. It was a tough day of fishing with no bites all morning. Leading into the late afternoon with only a few hours left to fish we did what we could, kept our lines clean, freshened up our baits, and fished hard up until the last minute. Just when we thought it was over with limited time remaining I said a little prayer hoping to see a Kingfish sky out on bait because I've always dreamed of seeing it happen. I didn't care how big the fish was, I just wanted to catch a fish and take it to the scales. Within 10 min my prayer was answered! A massive Kingfish sky rocketed on our prop wash bait! The fish was barely hooked and I knew I had to stick this fish in that moment right here with no mistakes.This video captured our raw emotions knowing all of our efforts finally paid off! The memories of catching this fish will last a lifetime and out weighed the prize money.
