Building a cruising sailboat The aft deck is sealed and the board joints are filled. Then, we progress to the aft end of the cabin and the aft coachroof sides. The aim is to get the main deck in place by Christmas. We'll see.... The boat utilises a hard-chined, plywood construction and this design of boat is a proven, capable, ocean-going vessel. Boat building with plywood is a relatively easy and cost-effective way to produce a strong, monocoque-style boat hull. These videos aim to show the way in which I go about it. Thank you! Tony
