HOMILY 10/25: PARABLE OF THE FIG TREE: GOD, IN HIS INFINITE MERCY, BELIEVES IN US

In today's Gospel, we hear the parable of the barren fig tree. The owner wanted to cut it down, but the farmer asked for more time to care for it with patience and love. How many times have we also deserved to be "cut down," but God, in His infinite mercy, believed in us, watered our lives with grace, and waited for us to flourish. May this parable inspire us to have hope, to welcome God's care, and also to be patient with the timing and processes of others! Masses are held Monday through Friday at 8:00 AM, 10:00 AM, 12:15 PM, 6:00 PM, and 7:30 PM. Saturdays are at 8:00 AM, 12:00 PM, 5:00 PM, and 6:30 PM.
