couple comments on margit in general 1. playing unlocked is a lot more consistent and versatile with regard to dodges than playing locked on. 1.a for example the biggest runkiller is the 2nd phase 3-hit combo ending with the sword plunged into the ground. if you're locked on and you roll any direction other than backwards x2, one of the attacks WILL clip you. 5% of the time you can get the angle right x2 on rolling forward and right, because of the lock on it's not 100% consistent but if you get it you will dodge the first 2 and positionally dodge the plunge 1.b punishes on the quick 2x golden dagger become more consistent playing unlocked because you land in a better position (closer to his side) to reach with your weapon 2. strafe strats and parry strats in general are a lot faster than roll only strats for margit. most moves can be strafed and get 2,3 even 4-5 hits in from relatively safety, hence why this run is 5 minutes and most other yt unupgraded wpn runs are 2-3 minutes. first phase roll strats can be incredibly quick with good rng and stamina management, but i don't think i showed that off too well in this video. second phase slows down a lot, because of the ever present 3-hit plunge combo you need to be careful about. 3. just lmao at some of the input read punishes this guy has, some of the most disgusting interactions i've ever seen haha 4. in total about 2.5 hours of attempts mainly owing to having to retrain brain to roll backwards x2 on the 3 hit and to reposition for 100% consistent golden hammer rolls no hit runs are a great way to do this because the effect of the punishment helps you learn quicker. on normal runs you would just get hit and shrug/estus it off and you wouldn't really be forced to change your playstyle this was a good experience and i'm glad i took the time to learn the 100% roll strats
