Story Peter Parker and Mary Jane Watson meet in front of May Parker's house, where Peter is currently living. Peter breaks the news about his firing, and MJ reveals that she may also be losing her job soon, as she is pressured by her boss, J. Jonah Jameson, to write a front-page story in the next week or else. MJ brought a box full of her unsold books from her and Peter's visit to Symkaria. Peter and MJ enter the house full of unpacked boxes and storage. As MJ heads to the back to find a place for the books, Peter decides to clean up a bit. As Peter walks to the kitchen, he picks up a bill showing the unpaid mortgage of the house, explaining that Aunt May mortgaged the house to keep F.E.A.S.T. running, but he is now drowning in debt. MJ asks Peter what's next, but he is unsure, and he is not ready to sell the house to cover his debt. Peter also refuses MJ's offer to cover the mortgage. Peter asks if MJ is ready to move in with him, but she exclaims that she needs to be closer to the city for her job, and Peter is barely home as it is due to being Spider-Man. MJ signals for Peter to come to the back room where she is, looking at some of Aunt May's old photo albums. Peter picks up a picture of a younger him labeled "Balance", which shows Peter awkwardly posing next to a hole in the wall of his old bedroom with eyes drawn above it. Peter decides to go upstairs to his old room to see if the hole is still there. Upon entering the room, Peter finds the hole behind a picture frame he had hung up to hide the hole. Harry shares a warm reunion with his old friends, expressing his condolences to Peter for May's death. Harry also apologizes for the cover story given to them about his Oshtoran Syndrome, proclaiming that his illness is in remission after the treatment he received. MJ leaves for work and Harry invites Peter to go on a bike ride with him. Harry and Peter catch up as they ride their bikes into the city, eventually arriving at Midtown High, their old high school. Harry and Peter reminisce about a project they were working on, which Peter had a copy of stored into a USB drive in his locker, but the school denied them access after-hours to retrieve it. Harry and Peter walk up to a side door and open it to enter the school, as another flashback starts with a teenage Peter and Harry sneaking into the school through this same door to retrieve the USB drive. Back in the present time, Harry and Peter enter the gym and decide to play a quick game of basketball. After the game, the flashback continues to where the two leave the gymnasium and cut through the courtyard to head to Peter's locker. The two encounter the security guard as he leaves the elevator, and Peter is forced to distract him by popping balloons inside the elevator. The two arrive at Peter's locker, where the scene abruptly reverts to the present, and Harry directs Peter to open his locker to reveal a surprise inside. The two are caught by a security guard and they make a run for it. In the past, Peter secures the USB drive from his locker and the two return to the gym, where they are alerted by the security guard and police officers. Harry says he has an idea and runs off, and Peter is forced to jump on the ceiling, but drops the USB drive. The guard confiscates the USB drive and lets in the police offers to begin searching for the two boys. r watches as Harry falls to the ground in despair. Back at the present, it is revealed that Harry's surprise for Peter is an ID Badge, denoting him as the co-founder of the Emily-May Foundation, which is the culmination of the same project Harry and Peter were working on as boys, inspired by Harry's mother and Peter's aunt. Harry invites Peter to visit the lab. Elsewhere, a convoy of choppers arrive in New York City, signaling the arrival of Kraven the Hunter and his soldiers. Kraven is informed of Flint Marko's capture, and laments that "he was not the one". Kraven orders his men to prepare for the transfer tomorrow, referring to the prisoner transfer at The Raft, and to not fail him again. Meanwhile, Miles Morales procrastinates while attempting to write his college acceptance essay. He receives a call from Peter, requesting his help with the prisoner transfer at the Raft, which Miles immediately accepts.
