ALOHA Küchensessions ~ 1/2026 ~ Nirvana ~ All Apologies Im alten Jahr habe ich drei erste Küchensessions aufgenommen ~ kurze Versionen, kleine Skizzen. 2026 starte ich bewusst mit einem Cover von Nirvana: All Apologies. Warum dieser Song? Weil ich mich für den deutschen Vorentscheid zum Eurovision Song Contest beworben habe. Weil ich abgelehnt wurde. Und weil die nun bekanntgegebenen Beiträge erschreckend schwach sind. Der SWR suchte laut eigener Ausschreibung Künstler von internationalem Format und mit Bühnenerfahrung. Was präsentiert wird, ist überwiegend radiokompatible Belanglosigkeit. Junge, weitgehend unerfahrene Musiker werden auf eine große Bühne gestellt, ohne dass Songs oder Reife diesem Druck standhalten können. Das ist kein Fördern ~ das ist Verheizen. „All Apologies“ steht für etwas, das heute schmerzlich fehlt: Reibung. Haltung. Zweifel. Widerstand. Kurt Cobain war jung ~ aber seine Musik war unbequem, ehrlich und gesellschaftskritisch. Sie wollte nicht gefallen ~ sie wollte etwas sagen. Viele der aktuellen Beiträge setzen dagegen auf Konformität. Songs, die niemandem wehtun. Texte ohne Fallhöhe. Musik ohne Risiko ~ und ohne Bedeutung. Dieses Cover ist kein ESC-Beitrag. Es ist ein Gegenbeispiel. Eine Erinnerung daran, was junge Musiker leisten können, wenn man sie ernst nimmt ~ und nicht auf Formate trimmt. ALOHA 🌺 Ukulele. Küche. Haltung. 💪🏼 ~~~~~~ 🇬🇧 Last year, I recorded three first kitchen sessions ~ short versions, small sketches. In 2026, I deliberately start with a cover of Nirvana: All Apologies. Why this song? Because I applied for the German preselection of the Eurovision Song Contest. Because I was rejected. And because the newly announced entries are shockingly weak. The SWR publicly stated they were looking for artists of international calibre and stage experience. What we are presented with is mostly radio-friendly emptiness. Young, largely inexperienced musicians are put on a big stage without songs or artistic maturity that can withstand the pressure. This is not support ~ it is disposal. „All Apologies“ stands for something that is painfully missing today: Friction. Attitude. Doubt. Resistance. Kurt Cobain was young ~ but his music was uncomfortable, honest and socially critical. It did not aim to please ~ it aimed to speak. Many of today’s entries rely on conformity instead. Songs that do not hurt anyone. Lyrics without depth. Music without risk ~ and therefore without meaning. This cover is not an ESC entry. It is a counterexample.
