Sliding Doors To open manual sliding doors, pull the handle on the inside or outside of the door while pulling the door towards the rear of the vehicle. The power sliding doors, if so equipped, can be operated using the switches on the instrument panel, door pillars or the buttons on the Intelligent Key. To operate power sliding doors, the ignition must be OFF or, if the ignition is ON, the shift lever must be in the PARK position, or either the parking brake or the foot brake must be engaged. The POWER DOOR MAIN ON/OFF switch is located on the lower left side of the instrument panel. When this switch is in the OFF position, the power sliding doors can only be operated manually. To switch the power sliding doors into power mode, push the switch to ON. To open a sliding door, push the corresponding switch on the instrument panel, door pillar or the buttons on the Intelligent Key, if so equipped, for more than one second. Push again to close. The Intelligent Key cannot be used to close the power sliding doors. If you push any of these switches while the door is moving, the door will reverse direction. If you push the sliding door opener switch on the outside of the door while carrying the Intelligent Key with you, that door will unlock and the sliding door will open automatically. To close the sliding door, push the Opener switch on the door again. Please note: The driver's side power sliding door will not operate when the fuel-filler door is open. If the operation is attempted while the fuel-filler door is open, a warning chime will sound. You may partially open the driver's side sliding door while the fuel-filler door is open, using the manual operation. Please refer to your Owner's Manual for more information on this feature.
