Ice Rescue and Emergency Response Instructor - 2018

Here are highlights from the PA Fish and Boat Commission’s Ice Rescue and Emergency Response instructor course held at Butler County Community College. The course taught instructor candidates how to teach and facilitate the 16-hour standardized curriculum. Throughout the course, candidates received significant hands-on training and feedback from instructor trainers. Weather, water and ice conditions for the outdoor practical were challenging and provided candidates with a clear understanding of the demands associated with ice rescue training. Course date: February 3-4, 2018 Location: Butler, PA Video by: Chris Calhoun - Special thanks to Nicole Klobchar, BC3 Park and Recreation Management work-study, for digital video and image capture of the training.
