We are frying it on a tawa or skillet. It means, we are not deep frying but shallow frying it. It turns out nice and crispy. At the same time moisture in the chicken is retained and it turns nice and juicy. I will share many tips and tricks to make perfect chicken rava fry. I already have posted this recipe on my other channel 3-4 years back. Let’s revise it once. This recipe doesn’t need lot many fancy ingredients. You can easily make it from vey few basic ingredients those are readily available ibn your pantry. Of course, you will have to buy chicken!! Jokes apart, but this is a very easy and simple recipe that not only looks tempting but also tastes delicious. Ingredients: • 500 gm boneless Chicken • 1/2 Lemon juice • Salt to taste • 1 tsp Turmeric powder • 1 tbsp Ginger-Garlic paste • Finely chopped Coriander leaves • 20 gm Red chili powder • 20 gm Garam masala • 20 gm Coriander powder • 10 gm Cumin powder • 10 gm Salt to taste • Finely chopped Coriander leaves • 1/4 cup / 63 ml Water • 1 cup / 175 gm fine Rava • Salt to taste • 1/4 tsp Red chili powder • 2 tbsp Oil for shallow frying Method: • Cut chicken into thin pieces and wash it really good 3-4 times. • Drain all the water from it and transfer it into a bowl. • Add lemon juice, salt, turmeric powder, ginger-garlic paste and coriander leaves and mix everything well together. • Cover and marinate the chicken overnight in freeze or at least 1 hour at room temperature. • Mix red chili powder, garam masala, coriander powder, cumin powder, salt and coriander leaves \ well together in a bowl and add water to make paste. Masala paste is ready. • Add the masala paste into the marinated chicken and mix everything well together. • Mix rava, salt and red chili powder well together and coat each chicken piece well with this rava mixture from both sides. Press it well. • Dip your fingers in water and dab rava coated chicken well with it so that the rava won’t come off while frying. • Heat up oil on high heat in a pan. • Drop the chicken pieces into hot oil and shallow fry it well on high heat from both sides. • Fry each side for about 2-3 minutes. • When one side is fried well, flip the chicken over and fry well from other side too. • When the chicken is fried well from both sides, take it out, drain excess oil and transfer it on a wire rack. Chicken rava fry is ready. • You can have it as it is or serve it with some chutney or mayonnaise or some sauce. • You can store rava coated chicken in a zip lock bag in deep freeze or in freeze for about 3-4 days.
