The game retains the same basic plot as the original. The story happens in 26th century and follows engineer Isaac Clarke, a crewman on a repair vessel assigned to the USG Ishimura, a massive planetary mining ship that has gone silent. While investigating a distress call sent by the ship's medical officer and Isaac's girlfriend, Nicole Brennan, the vessel's crew is attacked by mutated human corpses. Isaac is forced to defend himself and tries to save his surviving crewmates and learn the truth behind the loss of the Ishimura. ‘Dead Space Remake 2023’ GameFilm consists of 14 parts (including 3 parts devoted to the side missions). In the current (12th) part (Chapter 10: End of Days), Isaak reaches Ishimura Crew Deck and sees everywhere artifacts of a mystical cult in honor of the found Marker. He investigates Mercer’s quarters and finds research records on how the Marker’s signal affects the brain. Also Isaak learns that when the Maker was taken from the Aegis VII, it woke the being (‘The Hive Mind’) in the core of the planet. Isaak clears the way to the rescue shuttle and finally installs the singularity core on it. Dr. Kyne helps Isaak to retrieve the Marker and reach the rescue shuttle. To save humanity, Isaac must return the Marker to Aegis VII and stop the Hive Mind. Enjoy!
