Going The Distance - 1991 Polaris Indy 500

Here's the old 500 with almost 20,000 miles on it. It's only got 180 miles to go as of January 2026 to make it to 20K wish me luck! This machine has rode across Michigan's UP from East to West 4 Times (Twice there and back.) I put the ski's on the ice in Drummond Island and went to Axton Wisconsin and back. In one day we logged over 340 miles. Machine has had extensive mods to the chassis, Ski stance increased by four inches heavy duty Indy 650 swaybar. Fox shocks with special mounts to bring them out further. Geared down one tooth in the chaincase sprockets, double angle helix in the driven. Engine is pretty much bone stock except for a 1994 exhaust system. In tight woods it was a force to be recond with.
