PhD Generation E8S2 | Creation of a new device to measure bloodpressure

Discover how Mathilde Lubin, a CEA-Leti PhD, is helping pioneer a new device without cuff! Mathilde’s PhD goal? Pioneer a bimodal optical and ultrasound sensor to enable a non-invasive and highly accurate cuffless blood pressure monitoring device. The device will measure pulse-wave velocity, leveraging these two sensors’ data, each one being placed on different part of the body. The time difference between the two data collected provides the speed at which pressure waves move down the vessel. No more cuff needed! At CEA-Leti, 200 PhD students from +30 countries are working on R&D projects to tackle the technological and societal challenges of tomorrow. Mathilde Lubin, in 3rd and final year, tells us more about her PhD experience. PhD Generation, a series of testimonials from PhD students in microelectronics from CEA-Leti. In this season #2, the PhD students explain their career paths, their motivation and why they joined CEA-Leti in Grenoble, France, to carry out their thesis. #health #hypertension #science #medecine #phdgeneration ⏩ Apply online: https://www.leti-cea.com/cea-tech/let... __________________________________________________________ Thank you for watching!
