WRAL-TV Sign Off 1979

This is the 1979 sign-off audio clip of WRAL-TV(‪@WRAL5‬), Raleigh's current NBC network station back when it was with ABC at the time of the audio recording (NBC was with WPTF-TV, Moved to WNCN (now CBS affiliate) on September 10, 1995, before moving back to WRAL-TV in 2016; ABC would move to WTVD on August 4, 1985 after its owners Capital Cities Communications bought the ABC network outright in March 1985. As a result, WRAL-TV switched to CBS). The sign-off announcement was rendered by longtime WRAL announcer and weatherman Bob DeBardelaben, who would retire in 1989 and he died on October 6, 2014, at the age of 88. P.S.
