This easy, scenic walk begins at the cruise port and leads you through Nassau’s lively streets toward the historic Queen’s Staircase. Along the way, you’ll pass colorful buildings, local shops, and friendly vendors, with a gentle uphill stretch as you approach the staircase’s impressive 66 steps carved from limestone. The shaded area at the top offers a peaceful pause and a glimpse into the island’s past. After exploring the Queen’s Staircase and nearby Fort Fincastle, the return walk loops back toward the cruise port through Nassau’s popular tourist district. This route is mostly flat and relaxed, winding past Straw Market stalls, souvenir shops, and waterfront views—making it a pleasant stroll that blends history, culture, and shopping before heading back to the ship.
