Piano Duet: The Savers (The Joker's Wild Theme)

Piano Duet: The Savers (The Joker's Wild Theme)

Perry and Kingsley were a French electronic music duo that lasted from 1965 to 1967; the song of theirs I've done a piano duet arrangement for, "The Savers," was later used as the first theme tune to the television game show "The Joker's Wild," where contestants spun a giant slot machine and then answered the questions from the categories on the slots. The winner then spun the slots trying to rack up enough money without seeing a devil pop up; the devil took away all their winnings, but if they made to the goal, they won the bonus prize package. Jack Barry hosted the original versions in the 70s and 80s, and then-future "Shop 'til You Drop" host Pat Fin emceed the 1990 revival. In the 2010s, TBS aired a revival of the show, with Snopp Dogg as the host.
