Filmed 24th February 2023 Chiming the bells on the ellacombe at Aston for a wedding. The tower houses three bells, which are hung in a modern frame meant for six bells however the other three were supposedly never added. The tuning of them is a 1,2,3 of a ring of four and they are currently in an unringable state and believed to have last rung around 1970. Bells 1 and 2 were cast by Joseph Walker and Thomas Hilton of Rotherham in 1784 and the tenor was cast by Taylors in 1913 and weighs 9-2-2 in Ab. Currently, they can only be chimed by an ellacombe from the base of the tower. Doves Link: https://dove.cccbr.org.uk/tower/11818...
