How to use, fill, light an Oil Lamp http://amzn.to/2j9WHpl To light your oil lamp, first remove the chimney and unscrew the burner carefully. Fill the oil container to 3/4 of its capacity with lamp oil. Make sure the wick of your oil lamp is long enough to become saturated with the lamp oil. Replace burner unit and screw it back onto the container. Allow wick to become saturated for at least 30 minutes. Adjust wick so that it shows just over the top of the wick tube. Trim the wick with sharp scissors if necessary. Light the wick and place chimney on the lantern. Turn the wick down to adjust the flame so it is not smoking but gives a reasonable light. To put out or extinguish your oil lamp blow across the top of the chimney. Do not touch the chimney, it's hot. Do not touch or relight the oil lamp until the chimney is cooled down.
