Police investigating fatal accident involving pede

SCHENECTADY - Schenectady Police are investigating a fatal automobile accident involving a pedestrian. Police say the accident occurred on Saturday at around 7:22 p.m. on Albany St. According to police the victim, 57-year-old Limin Xia, was walking east near the shoulder when he was struck by a Chevrolet Trailblazer. He was transferred to Albany Med where he later died. Police say alcohol does not appear to be a factor in the accident. Police are still investigating.
