NHL Should Be Embarrassed By ESPN's Awful Seattle Kraken Expansion Draft Broadcast | Hockey News

Watch as Isha and Dylan discuss the latest news around the hockey world. In today’s video, Isha is joined by Ian Cameron, Professional Sports Bettor and Handicapper, and Host of The Ice Guys Podcast and Youtube Channel. The boys discuss the National Hockey League’s Seattle (NHL) Expansion Draft broadcast, produced by ESPN. Ian shares his displeasure with the broadcasters and hosts of the show not knowing enough about the sport of hockey, and furthermore not explaining more about how each selected roster player is a positive pick for the Seattle Kraken franchise. Instead, it was just a corny production. Casual. Hardcore and new hockey fans were all cringing throughout the show. The hosts could have been better as well. With all due respect to Chris Fowler, Dominic Moore, and Kevin Weekes but it just did not work out as planned. The lack of chemistry, preparation, and the entertainment value was evident. Some of the guest hosts who selected some of the Seattle Kraken’s players included: Seattle-area athletes Sue Bird, Marshawn Lynch, Lenny Wilkens, Jordan Morris, Gary Payton, Shawn Kemp, Bobby Wagner, and Kyle Lewis. Frontline workers from Virginia Mason Franciscan Health also made selections, as well as Kraken owner and Hollywood producer Jerry Bruckheimer, Grammy Award-winning hip-hop/rap artist Macklemore, women’s hockey legend and Kraken scout Cammi Granato, Kraken Intersectionality consultant Chanel Keenan and members of Western Washington Female Hockey and the Anchorage Hockey Academy. Ian and Isha comment on the direction Ron Francis is taking this team right out of the gate, and how it differs from George McPhee’s approach with the Vegas Golden Knights.
