Dark Souls Remastered – Walkthrough No Commentary | Ep.04: Lower Burg, Capra Demon & Darkroot

Welcome to Episode 4 of our Dark Souls Remastered Walkthrough series! After ringing the first Bell of Awakening and exploring the Undead Parish in the last episode, we now venture into the dangerous Lower Undead Burg using the Basement Key. This chapter features one of the most notorious early-game challenges: the cramped Capra Demon boss fight, accompanied by its aggressive attack dogs. We provide a clear, no-commentary strategy to overcome this difficult encounter. Before tackling the boss, we free Griggs of Vinheim the sorcerer, unlocking access to new sorceries and adding depth to the Firelink Shrine NPC storylines. We also take a detour into the peaceful yet perilous Darkroot Garden and Darkroot Basin to collect essential items, including the Grass Crest Shield (stamina regeneration boost!). This area also serves as a crucial early-game soul farming spot for those who purchase the Crest of Artorias. Back at Firelink Shrine, we see the arrival of Reah of Thorolund and her bodyguards, Vince and Nico, which advances the Petrus storyline.
