#superintelligentone #superintelligentone'sworld #karolinaprotsenko #karolinaprotsenkoviolin After finishing their busking duet in front of the Johnny Rockets Restaurant and the Barnes & Noble Bookstore on the 1300 block of the 3rd St Promenade, Dovydas Maščinskas, the Lithuanian-born, singer-songwriter, multi-instrumentalist asks Karolina if he can play a song for her. Karolina asks him if he knows the song 'I Like The Way You Kiss Me' by Artemas. He replies that he'll have to look it up on his smartphone. Karolina tells him that it is very easy to play, then demonstrates a portion of the song. Dovydas tells the audience that they are going to attempt to play despite not knowing how to play it. This is on a breezy, overcast late afternoon in November 2024. SIO's Eagle Eyes: I see there are Christmas decorations, but the banners say 'Welcome To Downtown Santa Monica' on the lampposts, rather than 'Happy Holidays' when it gets closer to Christmas. Karolina seems to be wearing a white, ribbed, button-front sweater worn over what appears to be some sort of beige sequined dance leotard, with a pink tulle tutu, and black combat boots. She is wearing her long hair pulled back and held in place with hair clips, with some small braids at the back middle portion, then tied at the back with a black hair elastic to end in a high ponytail. Dovydas Maščinskas, is wearing a V-neck, button-front short sleeve shirt, black jeans and grey low-top sneakers. At the start of the video, after finishing their busking duet in front of the Johnny Rockets Restaurant and the Barnes & Noble Bookstore on the 1300 block of the 3rd St Promenade, Dovydas tells Karolina "I want to play a song for you." Karolina asks him if he knows the song 'I Like The Way You Kiss Me' by Artemas. He replies that he'll have to look it up on his smartphone. Karolina tells him that it is very easy to play, then demonstrates the opening of the song. Dovydas tells the audience that they are going to attempt to play despite not knowing how to play it. At 26 sec, Karolina plays the opening of the song. Dovydas attempts to play a chord, then announces "I think I'm playing in a different key." Karolina explains "I'm playing in the original one. It's in B Major." Dovydas experiments, saying "Then, this is a 6, 4, 1, 3" as he experiments with the chords that he thinks he should play. Satisfied he says "6, 4, 1, 3. Okay, so if you're in B... Check this out". Dovydas then demonstrates a chord sequence for Karolina. Then he repeats the sequence. Dovydas then says "Does that sound right?" Karolina replies "Yeah. Yeah." Dovydas requests that she join in with her part. At 1:17 sec, Dovydas asks "Did I figure it out?" Karolina replies "I think so. Yeah." Dovydas tells the audience "Make some noise. I figured out another song I never heard before." He asks Karolina "Give me a tempo" then he proceeds to create a series of looped backing tracks. At 2:07 sec, Karolina starts off with a soft pizzicato. At 2:24 sec, she transitions into a bowed melody. At 3:21 sec, Dovydas starts his improvised melody with his electric guitar. Karolina echos his tune. At 3:55 sec, Dovydas creates a counter to Karolina's melody. During the performance, I see the familiar sunglasses wearing, tall thin man with Van Dyke facial hair, sitting in the olive-green Adirondack chair next to the lamppost. Then, I recognize a large man wearing a blue plaid shirt-jacket over a blue T-shirt & Navy-blue shorts who is sitting in the yellow Adirondack chair as a 3rd St Promenade regular. I recognize the older man in the red sweater with two moose, as a 3rd St Promenade regular. I see the familiar 3rd St Promenade regular, the man who wears a blue L.A. ball cap who is now wearing a grey suit. At 7:08 sec, Dovydas tells Karolina they should switch to a climbing variation of their melody. At 7:34 sec, Dovydas switches back to the main melody, shouting "Go, go, go!" At 8:00 sec, Dovydas switches off the backing track loop. At 8:13 sec, Karolina slows down her melody to transition the song to then end. At 8:22 sec, Karolina & Dovydas end their performance, then take deep bows. The audience cheer and applaud. SIO
