Angband - Crossbow of Power obliterates threat level 9 vault! [Ascband custom roguelike]

That new classic-style roguelike that just showed up in Early Access is "Shadowed: The Demon Castle of Ooe" https://store.steampowered.com/app/28... ; sounds like it might be a little light on content now, I dunno, haven't bought it--trying to avoid getting into Early Access and bug reporting. = P I'll be a lot more tempted to though if they add controller support. And I suppose I'll try Caves of Qud and its controller support when it comes out of Early Access (supposed to be end of the year)--also wanna know if it's feasible to play that game without using guns, 'cause I'm not into guns so much. Smeagol got away but eh wait did I get Wormtongue when he came back on a later floor--oh yeah, it was four floors later, and, I did: he dropped that magic Ball-and-Chain. I guess this combo of Stun/Confuse/Slow wands can be pretty handy, at least at this early stage where even the uniques aren't resisting them. Oh, I guess this is what Stun does (from proprietor of the Black Market shop in town, Drago the Fair (Elf), at 2;45;00): "Stunned monsters deal less damage in melee and sometimes miss a turn." Oh hm I was so taken by the Light Crossbow of Power (x3) (+6,+19) in the Black Market that I didn't notice there was a Lantern of True Sight as well 2;46;15 ; according to   / yawp_hobbit_necromancer   for instance those give protection from blindness and see invisible! Dang. I wouldn't have had quite enough money to get both and the crossbow's definitely more vital but a lantern like that would be keeeeeen. (It's gone now. 'p') Yeah that crossbow is sick though. ^ _^ Carved right through those lvl 22 (me level 18) bugs no sweat!! And that Whip (1d3) (+3,+3) does way more damage than my Tulwar of Slay Undead (2d4) (+6,+7)! Which did slightly more damage than my Dagger of Slay Demon (1d4) (+1,+1).
