In today's video I want to talk about the prices that PSA 10 cards of 90s Jordan base cards are going for. They've reached all time high prices, but are the prices justified? Are these base Jordan cards really worth the amount that is being paid for them? Are there other alternative cards to purchase for around the same price? Seeing the recent prices of Jordan 90s base cards in PSA 10 got my head scratching a bit. I tried to make sense of the situation, then a thought occurred to me... with the influx of people entering into the hobby from last year, most were fixated on PSA 10 base rookie cards of guys like Luka, Zion, Ja and Trae. Now that there has been a big shift to vintage, most of the people who entered the hobby are applying those same concepts and principles to base cards of the greats/legends. I mean sure, back in those days most players had only base cards... however, where I want to focus on is the 90s. I get that these Jordan base cards were the only cards available for these years, but with the amount of money being paid for these PSA 10s, I feel there is value to be had in other Jordan cards instead - mainly the 90s inserts in lower grades. Sure the pop report is low for these base PSA 10s, but so are the inserts. And in this video I want to take a look at 4 Jordan base cards: 1. 1989 Hoops 2. 1990 Hoops 3. 1990 Fleer 4. 1991 Fleer Then I want to look at what alternatives you can buy for around the same price. Some will say that the pop reports for these base Jordan cards are low which make them rare, but the inserts are much rarer and have a low pop report. In a current sports card world that is so fixated on PSA 10s, there is still value to be had in lower graded cards - especially rare inserts. And that's what I am to look at here. These are just my thoughts and just as I did my own research, I would advise you to do the same as well before pulling the trigger. Thank you and I hope you find value in this. #sportscards #michaeljordanbasecards #sportscardinvesting
