Chinese court upholds death sentence for Canadian Robert Schellenberg

A Chinese court has upheld a death sentence for Robert Schellenberg, a Canadian whose 15-year sentence for drug smuggling was overturned in 2019 in favour of the death penalty. Schellenberg had appealed the death sentence. Another court is expected to have a verdict this week in the espionage charges against Michael Spavor.
