A portion of proceeds benefit Nā Kama Kai, a non profit to support Hawaii’s keiki, the ocean, and our ‘āina, land. Haku Keiki is a brand new collective of young Hawaiian artists committed to preserving the history and legacy of Hawaiian music with several of its members coming from revered musical families, including 22-year old Dillon Pakele and 17-year old Kamalei Pakele. They are the children of the late Kaulana Pakele, lead singer of Mana’o Company. Mālie Lyman (age 16), is the great grand daughter of the great, Genoa Keawe and made her singing debut accompanied by her own iconic steel guitar playing on track 3, Papahānaumokuākea. HAKU Collective teamed up with Nā Kama Kai (www.Nakamakai.org) to produce "Children of the Sea (Nā Kama Kai)” to share their empowering message, Keiki Aloha, Kai Aloha. When we teach our keiki to love themselves, we empower them to love and take care of each other, our environment, and our beloved ocean.
