I had never heard someone saying they have a payasam shop (payasam is a sweet dish made in Tamil Nadu during feast times with rice, vermicilli, etc.., ).... But making payasam commercially from afternoon to evening is something which I had never heard of but Melur R. Veerasamy sweets and Payasam is operating for more than 60 years selling payasam... Apart from Payasam they also sell savory such as south indian Vadai, Bhaji and a lot of snacks and sweets for people cravings... Everything is piping hot and they are served directly from the oil and there is no additives or preservatives added in any of their dish... This Veerasamy Payasam shop in Melur serves this tasty savoury items for Just Rs.2 in afternoon and During evenings for Just Rs.5... I would highly recommend people to taste this place while travelling on Trichy main road via Melur and enjoy the sweetness of payasam with bites of Savory snacks... Location of the place is not exact in google maps... So just while travelling on Trichy Main Road via Melur while crossing Melur bus stop a few steps ahead will lead you to this place...
