On the day when President Joe Biden marked the one-year anniversary of taking office, House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy and other GOP lawmakers slammed Biden on everything from rising gas prices to the chaotic exit from Afghanistan. "I listened to the president yesterday for nearly two hours, for two hours. He blamed everyone but himself," McCarthy said. "Biden used to say the buck stops with him, but not anymore." "The American people are facing an economic crisis, an energy crisis, a border crisis, an education crisis, a crime crisis, a worsening COVID-19 crisis and a national security crisis," said Rep. Elise Stefanik of New York. "These crises are a direct result of the failed leadership and the far left socialist agenda of Joe Biden and congressional Democrats," she said. Biden ends his first year in the White House with a clear majority of Americans for the first time disapproving of his handling of the presidency in the face of an unrelenting pandemic and roaring inflation, according to a new poll from The Associated Press-NORC Center for Public Affairs Research.
