An investigation is underway in Northeast and Southeast D.C. after suspects armed with assault rifles fired into a parked vehicle injuring a man and critically wounding a pregnant woman on Thursday, the Metropolitan Police Department said. Around 11:20 a.m., the police department's ShotSpotter identified the sounds of gunfire in the 300 block of 37th Street Southeast. Arriving officers found "a crime scene" in the middle of the street. About two minutes after officers arrived at that scene, dispatchers got a call about a shooting 3900 block of Minnesota Avenue, Northeast near a McDonalds. The two locations are a few blocks apart. At that location, officers found a man and woman inside a vehicle with multiple gunshot wounds. Both victims were transported to area hospitals. The man's injuries weren't life-threatening, the police department said. The woman is in critical condition. Police confirmed that she is pregnant. The police department said the shooting was caught on camera and it shows two men in a white four-door sedan. Both men got out of their vehicle with assault rifles and fired into the victims' vehicle. FULL STORY: https://www.wusa9.com/article/news/cr...
