TOMOCICHLA TUBA RIO SARAPIQUI F1...PRE SPAWNING.

I last kept Tuba in 94. Was never common or easy to get way back in the old days.. especially in the Uk. I got my last batch from Don Conkel via a wholesaler in the Uk that we used to get all our Central American cichlids from. I grew them out and ended up with a pair. Female was 5” male about 4” she used to spawn but the male was to young and small. She would allow him to court her but the minute she laid she wouldn’t let him anywhere near her or the spawn. Due to this I was not successful in getting any fry from them. I’m hoping to change that this time around and so far things look ok. They are both near the 5” mark now. So fingers crossed. 🤞 I’ll show updates if and when things progress.👍
