Mission 19 SE Cerberus got their hands on a derelict Reaper, but lost contact with the science team that was aboard. We need the IFF they found. Unfortunately credits are tight and Shepard didn't want to use any thermal clips for this mission. Level 30 Hardened Adrenaline Rush Disruptor Ammo 2 Incendiary Ammo 3 Squad Cryo Ammo 4 Shock Trooper 4 Area Reave 4 There was a discussion about a soldier on this mission not firing any shots on BSN here: http://social.bioware.com/forum/1/top... As this is a no shots fired mission, only the squad ammo power matters. That means I respec'd from how I did this during the ReaveSoldier run to get Hardened Adrenaline Rush. That will definitely come in handy. I also switched to Shock Trooper for extra health. I went Strength Boost Pads for melee damage, and I switched the Off-Hand Ammo Pack for the N7 Gauntlets. Now on to the team. This is the first time I have not taken Garrus on this mission. Ever. If you say "Thane is better on this mission" I wouldn't know, I have never taken him. This in fact is the first time I took Mordin on this mission even though he is good against Husks. Really he is good on practically any mission. Samara I have used before, although not really very often. At any rate I needed all the help I could get and this is probably the most powerful squad for this mission. I edited the save to respec their points. You would need to do Lair of the Shadow Broker before this mission in order to get Mordin's points like that. I actually didn't on the playthrough I got the save from, so no upgrades from that mission. Samara can be leveled like this normally, just skip Pull. I like Pull better than Throw, but I needed some extra punch out of her Reave. I won't speculate on other squads. You might be able to use Jack instead of Samara, but she will be weaker against Scions, and she has worse guns. Grunt might be workable as well. I don't have the Mattock or Incisor so relying on those with the rifle squads wasn't a possibility. Tactics wise the idea was for me to use Area Reave to strip armor off of husks, then use Cryo Blast or Throw Field. Mordin and Samara both had Tempests with Squad Cryo to assist in killing husks. For Scions it is a bit of luck and anti-armor powers. It would be safer to exploit Stasis on them, but that isn't what I did. If you stay at the edge of their close range attack they try to close instead of using their shockwave. That is what I attempt to do. You can also interrupt their attack with powers. I attempt this, and it works well when the squad instacasts, but fails when they have to do their animation. Adrenaline Rush melee attacks also happen. They are probably more show than go really. I also try to keep the Scions' attention so that they don't kill the squad. This requires a bit of luck. All video is in game footage from Mass Effect 2 by Bioware.
