I honestly don't know how I missed this forum, which I have placed above. I get this issue when I import audio files (sometimes). The worskspace, timeline and screen just freeze until I remove the audio file or switch to a different folder location. The Premiere Pro audio doesn't drag into timeline either. The Fix is deceivingly simple.
