Hi, I’m Bob Dames, founder of Flipdaddy’s Burgers & Beers. Flipdaddy’s is one of the fastest growing burger & beer restaurants in the region. We’ve grown to 4 stores in Cincinnati and 1 on the gulf coast of Alabama. But now, we want to take our experience in making great food & beverages and expand into a new restaurant with a unique twist. Introducing: ALTO Pizza Kitchen + Bar. ALTO is an upscale pizza and wine bar. We make pizza with hand-tossed dough and old world sauces topped with the freshest local ingredients and baked to perfect in a stone hearth. We then pair your pizza with a curated selection of fine wines, signature bourbon cocktails, or speciality craft beers. And in order to bring this to life, we’ve found the perfect location in one Greater Cincinnati’s coolest up & coming neighborhoods: Covington, KY located just across the famous Roebling bridge. A hundred years ago, historic Covington was a bustling center of activity, with restaurants, department stores, bars, and theaters bringing swarms of people to the streets. But the city suffered after the Great Depression and WWII, and the suburban flight of the 1970’s. And now Covington is back on the rise, with new architecture, new boutiques, and a citywide push for urban redevelopment. ALTO Pizza Kitchen will be in the heart of Covington's historic shopping district with a 3,000 sq ft restaurant at the base of the new urban core redevelopment project with 144 new apartments above it. AND what we’re really excited to announce is that ALTO Pizza Kitchen is partnering up with our neighbor: Braxton Brewery. Braxton is one of Cincinnati’s favorite & biggest breweries. They’re a pioneer in the craft brewing movement, and Braxton’s already bringing new life to Covington and the surrounding area. Together with Braxton, ALTO Pizza Kitchen will anchor this up-and-coming neighborhood and make it vibrant once more. I’m Bob Dames, a serial restauranteur and founder of Flipdaddy’s Burgers.
