Following Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath's announcement, the Uttar Pradesh Cabinet has approved a significant increase in the honorarium of Shiksha Mitras and part-time instructors. The honorarium of Shiksha Mitras in the state has now been increased from ₹10,000 to ₹18,000 per month, while that of part-time instructors has been increased from ₹9,000 to ₹17,000 per month. According to Basic Education Minister Sandeep Singh, this increased honorarium will be effective from April 1, 2026, and will be included in the payment received in May. Approximately 1.43 lakh Shiksha Mitras and approximately 25,000 part-time instructors will benefit from this decision.
