Hundreds make their way downriver for Paddlefest

CINCINNATI (WKRC) - Thousands of people soaked in the sun, paddling along the Ohio River during Paddlefest Saturday. Paddlefest is one of the largest events of its' kind in the U.S. The event usually attracts kayakers and canoers from more than 20 states who make their way nine miles downriver. First-time paddlers described how cool it is to see Cincinnati from a new perspective. "You know it was surreal," said John Phillips. "I think at one point, we underneath some showers that they were showering out there and we went underneath our own rainbow, it was just surreal." Paddlefest benefits Outdoor Adventure Clubs of Greater Cincinnati which serves hundreds of kids in Cincinnati and Northern Kentucky.
