For instance, we will add the color of fire to our design which makes it more interesting. This complete process of designing consists of an effective usage of gradients and Photoshop techniques. Follow this step by step guide to learn how to create fiery wing background in Photoshop. Step # 1 -- Insert the Diamond Gradient In the first step, launch Adobe Photoshop and open up a new document having white background. Now select the "Gradient" tool, choose the "Diamond Gradient" option and draw it on the canvas. Step # 2 -- Apply the Twirl Gradient In the next step, go to the "Filter" menu, select "Distort" and click on the "Twirl" filter from the list. In the filter settings panel, set the "Angle" to "200 degrees" and click on the "OK" button to apply it on the layer. Step # 3 -- Insert the Polar Coordinate Gradient Now again go to the "Filter" menu, select "Distort" and click on the "Polar Coordinates" filter from the list. In the filter settings panel, select the "Polar to Rectangular" option and click on the "OK" button to apply it on the layer. Step # 4 -- Adjust the Midtones Once done, go to the "Image" menu, select "Image Rotation" and click on the "Flip Canvas Vertically" option. Now go to the "Image" menu, select "Adjustments" and click on the "Color Balance" option to open its settings panel. Now select the "Midtones" option and set its "Color Levels" as "100", "0" and "-100" respectively. Step # 5 -- Adjust the Highlights In the next step, move over to the "Highlights" option and set its "Color Levels" as "28", "0" and "-28" respectively. Step # 6 -- Adjust the Shadows In the last step, select the "Shadows" option and set its "Color Levels" as "40", "25" and "-100" and you're done. This will nicely create a fiery wing image.
