MOBILE, Ala. (WPMI) Students and faculty on the campus of the University of South Alabama had a chance to share a cup of Joe Thursday morning with their campus police. The event is called 'Coffee with a Cop,' and has taken place on campuses across the country. The USA Chief of Police Zeke Aull said the event has two purposes. "It's community building. You know if we're missing something, that there's problems that we don't know about, this is an opportunity for folks in our community to let us know about it. But it's also an opportunity if we're doing something really well that they appreciate, they can let us know that too," Aull said. The free coffee was courtesy of Starbucks. Chief Aull said judging by the turnout, there may be more of these events in the future.
