Kangana Ranaut Reaches Mumbai Police Station After FIR Lodged For Her Instagram Post

According to her lawyer, actress Kangana Ranaut appeared before the Mumbai Police today in connection with a first information report, or FIR, filed against her over a social media post that reportedly linked farmers' demonstrations to a separatist group. At 11 a.m., Ms Ranaut arrived at the Khar police station. Following a complaint from a Sikh organisation, a FIR was lodged against her last month. Rizwan Sidiquee, her lawyer, said she went to the police station to record her statement. She was served with a summons by the police earlier this month. Members of a Sikh organisation filed a police complaint alleging that the actor depicted farmers' protests on Delhi's borders as a Khalistani movement in an Instagram post. Ms Ranaut was charged with intentionally injuring the religious sensibilities of the community by the police.
