The Centers for Disease Control estimates more than 48,000 people died in 2017 due to causes linked to opioid abuse. On the campaign trail, many candidates are promising to help those suffering with addiction. Correspondent Jason Calvi introduces us to one woman from Arizona whose life was turned upside down by opioids, but now more than 90 days clean, she credits Catholic Charities and Narcotics Anonymous with helping her to break the cycle and shares her story to offer others hope.
