"Shaky Ground" - With Pyu Garcia (Drums) - Guitar Meets Science

"Shaky Ground" is one of the legendary funk/rock songs which I used to cover at live jams, and the original by Delbert McClinton has become a staple in bars around the world as it's got groove and attitude - and songs about breakups are always a hit! Pyu Garcia, legendary world class drummer from Brazil joined me on this one and he absolutely slayed that groove!!! I've never played this to such a solid groove, and I'm honored he took part in this international collab! SUBSCRIBE TO PYU - He's a beast of a drummer!!!    / pyugarcia   I decided to sing, and play all the other stuff (guitar/bass) like we used to do at the jams...much fun was had in the making of this! I broke out the trusty Ibanez GIO, and used the good ol' LTD bass. I've come to realize that to get a good slap bass sound, believe it or not...the secret ingredient is actually and acoustic simulator! I ran it through my Zoom MS100-BT pedal, kicked on the acoustic sim and threw some EQ on there, and that slap sound I was looking for came to fruition. For the guitar and vocals I used the POD X3 Live. One day I'm sure I'll spring for a HELIX but I'm still too miserly to spend anything lol. #shakyground #hardrockcover #guitarmeetsscience #pyugarcia
