5th Gen Ram with electrical issues? Check this out!

This past summer I had my 2019 Ram 1500 leave me stranded in the road due to major electrical issues. It all started with intermittent issues with my parking sensors. Sometimes they would work fine but sometimes the system would alarm if you hit a bump and the sensors would just stay disabled. Either that or the parking sensors would flip between enabled and disabled every time you hit a minor bump in the road. This was truly annoying because it dings an alarm every time it disables. I took the truck to the dealership in the last month of the warranty to have them investigate. Naturally, they were unable to replicate the issue. I was pretty angry considering the truck had less than 35,000 miles and was having electrical issues, but at this point there wasn’t much I could do but let it ride. Less than two months later (warranty now expired) I am returning home from a hospital appointment, hit a bump in the road, and the entire dashboard starts going crazy. The truck simultaneously shuts off in the middle of the road and comes to a stop. I’ll spare you all the details but I got the truck home via a tow and the started troubleshooting the next day. This video outlines some of the troubleshooting steps I took to solve the issue. I did cut some things that were unrelated to the actual issue to shorten the video as much as I could. I am not a professional and this video was cut together using old videos and pictures I still had on my phone. I just hope it helps anyone it can. I cannot certify that the following part numbers work for all 5th gens, but these are the part numbers that worked for my truck: 2019 Ram 1500 Bighorn Crew Cab 4x4 (5.7L Hemi) Part Number Part Name 68140647AA Connector Can Buss 68321746AA Connector Can Buss
