My FIRST EVER film premiere vlog!! EPiC Elvis Presley in Concert UK Premiere

Today's video is a SUPER EXCITING one as it is my FIRST EVER film premiere. Universal Pictures UK invited me to the UK premiere of EPiC: Elvis Presley in Concert at the BFI IMAX in London. It has been a dream of mine for so long to be invited to a film premiere and I am so so grateful for this opportunity. EPiC was directed by the iconic Baz Luhrmann (Moulin Rouge and Great Gatsby are just two of his incredible films) and like Elvis (2022), you can really see Baz’s love for Elvis shine throughout the entire 96 minute film. Before we got to see the film we were lucky enough to hear from Baz himself talking about how the film came about. I've included some clips of Baz talking about the film and also his bit about mentioning how no generative ai was used in the making of EPiC! While researching for Elvis (2022) they uncovered over 60 boxes of unseen Elvis archive footage in salt mines in Kansas. Fun fact: archive film is often stored in salt mines due to the fact it’s incredibly dry and cool. This footage had no audio so they worked for two years to sync the newly found footage to existing audio and during this time they discovered previously unheard audio of Elvis himself talking about his life. This was then all put together to create EPiC. EPiC isn’t a concert film or a documentary but a wonderful mix of the two narrated by Elvis himself. This film is perfect for the Elvis mega fans but also anyone who loves the feeling of live music. I have truly never seen a film manage to capture the atmosphere so well of a concert to the point you could imagine sitting in the international hotel 50 years ago watching Elvis live in his prime. In the film Elvis says how he wanted to tour worldwide, including in the UK, but he never got the chance and Baz said that this film is like him finally getting to do the world tour he always dreamed of. You can see EPiC in IMAX from February 20th and in cinemas everywhere February 27th. Thank you, again, Universal Pictures for this incredible opportunity. It was an absolutely unforgettable night.
