Walking along the Odaiba beach waterfront Checking out the special Kanatoko Cloud (かなとこ雲) formation during sunset over tokyo bay. What is the "Kanatoko cloud" formation? The "Kanatoko cloud" is a cumulonimbus cloud that has grown to the limit in the sky. Growth is hampered by the wide open umbrella. The sky above the umbrella is the stratosphere, and no more clouds grow.
