Team Basketball Shooting Machine Drills: Double Screen Action

Team Basketball Shooting Machine Drills: Double Screen Action

In this team shooting drill, we focus on the pass and screen away action. Not to be confused with the “Stagger Screen”, there are 2 separate screens within this drill. When swinging the ball, it’s important to either cut or find a player to screen. As we commonly say, the better you set screens the more opportunities you will create for your teammates and ultimately yourself! This is a great way to simulate “screen away” action that is commonly found in many motion offenses. Drill Settings: Pass location: Top of the key Pass tempo: 4-5 of players: 3-8 Goal: Can be makes, taken, or time. We recommend seeing how many you can make in a set time - 10 minutes is a good baseline. Make sure to start by passing both left and right.
